The Quick Read
- What it is:A patented blend of D-ribose and Vitamin B3 (nicotinamide).
- What it does:Feeds the salvage pathway, the route your body actually uses to rebuild NAD+.
- Why it's different:Targets NAD+, ATP, and glutathione together, not just NAD+.
- Proof:Triple-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial published in Nutrients (2022).
- Recognition:NIE 2020 Gold Winner. 2024 Ingredient Idol Finalist.

Principal Investigator
"RiaGev® represents the most efficient pathway to cellular energy we've tested to date."
One ingredient. Three targets.
Most NAD+ supplements support NAD+ alone. RiaGev® supports three.

NAD+
The coenzyme
Used in over 60% of cellular reactions, plus DNA repair & sirtuin activity (thought to be the body's longevity regulators).

ATP
The energy currency
Powers everything from focus to physical activity. ATP is also needed to transfer NAD+ to glutathione.

Glutathione
The antioxidant
Your body's master antioxidant. Balances oxidative stress and supports detoxification.
All three rise together in clinical research. They're linked, so supporting them together makes biological sense.
Recognition
Industry-recognized for innovation.

NIE 2020 Gold Winner
Recognized for innovation and excellence in nutraceutical ingredients at the Nutrition Industry Executive Awards.

2024 Ingredient Idol Finalist

What is RiaGev®?
Two simple building blocks. One patented combination.
Developed by Bioenergy Life Science (BLS), RiaGev® is the only commercially available ingredient that pairs these two building blocks in one formula at the optimal ratio.
D-Ribose
Bioenergy Ribose®. A natural sugar that forms the backbone of NAD+ and ATP.
Nicotinamide
Flush-free Vitamin B3. The direct precursor your cells use to recycle NAD+.
RiaGev®
Patented, clinically studied.
How it works
Your body makes NAD+ through four pathways. Most of it (up to 90%) happens through one.
RiaGev® enters the salvage pathway directly because it brings both ingredients the pathway needs (nicotinamide and D-ribose) at the same time. That's the simple reason it works efficiently.
+85%
Efficiency rate
up to 85% of NAD+ conversion happens through the salvage pathway and 99% in some critical tissues such as the heart.
The four NAD+ pathways
| Pathway | What it is |
|---|---|
De novo (tryptophan) |
Builds NAD+ from the amino acid tryptophan. Usually not enough on its own. |
Nicotinic acid (NA) |
Uses a B3 form found in diet and converted from tryptophan. |
Nicotinamide (NAM) salvage |
The dominant route in humans. This is where RiaGev® acts. |
Nicotinamide riboside kinase (NR) shunt |
A conditional, secondary salvage route—not the dominant human NAD⁺ pathway. |
RiaGev® feeds the pathway your body already prefers, with both ingredients it needs. RiaGev is a systems metabolism strategy not a lone precursor.
Where it acts in the body
A 2019 third-party pharmacodynamics pre clinical study (American Preclinical Services, with Bioenergy Life Science) found that RiaGev®
(American Preclinical Services, with Bioenergy Life Science)
- Brain
- Heart (99% salvage pathway)
- Liver
- Skeletal Muscle
- Kidney
- Systemic Tissue
NAD+ doesn't only live in the liver. Demonstrating tissue-wide enhancement supports the case for systemic, daily NAD+ replenishment.

Why NAD+ matters in the first place
As NAD+ declines, the enzymes that consume it become more active.
As NAD+ declines, NAD+-consuming enzymes (PARPs, sirtuins, CD38) become more active, especially under oxidative stress.
Replenishing NAD+ has been linked in the published literature with:
50%
of your NAD+ may be gone by your 40s
Cellular energy
Mitochondrial function and ATP production.
Cardiovascular markers
Improved mitochondrial respiration, reduced inflammation in some cohort groups.
Brain health
Studied in neurodegenerative conditions.
Immune & metabolic balance
Anti-inflammatory activity and support for immune function.
Healthy aging
NAD+ depletion is tied to mitochondrial dysfunction, a recognized hallmark of aging.
Clinical evidence
Clinically studied results
Healthy middle-aged adults took 3000 mg of RiaGev® twice daily for 7 days.

Long-term human data
NAD+ keeps building with daily use.
Tested via a home-based NAD+ test method in volunteers taking 1,520 mg twice daily. Continued use also reduced glycated serum protein (a 2 to 4 week glucose marker) and cortisol over the same period.
